THEME:
This illustration gives a message to think about someone whom we care when we do not see each others that often. Thinking of others gives us to think what they are doing when we do not live nearby. We can give a call, mail a letter, go and visit them. Also, pen pals are an example when we write a letter or via by email.

BOOK EVLAUATION:
I enjoyed in reading this animated picture book because it helps me to relax my mind and emotional. It distracts me from a busy day with all thoughts that run in the race. It helped to calm me down and enjoyed its view through my imaginary. It made me to smile and to think about some relatives, including a few friends, who live in South Carolina.

CLASS ACTIVITY:
For my pre-schooled students, I will I will ask them to draw and color an animated story. With their animated stories, they trade with each others and take a look to share what they see. Then, they will take a turn to explain what they see. This way teaches them about how we can use our minds to imagine as calming us easily. This is a great tool to distract us from staying focused on one thing for too long.

This illustrated story is won by the Caldecott Honor book.
